 Ann-Marie HERMANS (South-Eastern Metropolitan) (13:13): (2594) My question is to the Minister for Community Sport. Minister, I recently visited Carrum Downs Cricket Club, where this Labor government apparently spent a whopping $700,000 doing its publicised upgrade. The floor was not levelled properly, and when I visited there was a pool of water in the middle of the room in the newly renovated area. I fail to understand how an internal wall of paint and a bathroom refresh could cost so much money. The upgrade failed to provide a girls change room and toilets, and the current facilities only have one combined change room. Hundreds of locals and multiple sporting clubs use the facility. Sharing a single change room for the home and away teams alone with just a foldaway wall is unacceptable. My question for the minister from my constituents is if the Carroll Labor government will reinvest in the fixes and provide the overdue double-storey clubrooms that the locals really need.
