 Jeff BOURMAN (Eastern Victoria) presented a petition bearing 966 signatures:

The Petition of certain citizens of the State of Victoria draws to the attention of the Legislative Council that Victorian Fisheries officers provide a first line of defence for Victoria’s vast fisheries and restructuring the authority by reducing staff on the ground can only lead to a worse outcome for both anglers and the environment.

The Petitioners therefore request that the Legislative Council call on the government to immediately reinstate these removed positions and invest in more on the ground staff.
